Since September , more precisely from Wednesday, 4 September 2013 , will take up the Pope’s General Audience the Pope in Rome . Opportunity for all the pilgrims visiting the capital to meet in person the Holy Father.
Every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the Paul VI Hall (Sala Nervi ) or depending on the number of pilgrims and weather situation , the Basilica of St. Peter or St. Peter’s Square , there will be the Pope’s General Audience of the Holy Father .
Hearings shall not be made , but they are moments dedicated to visitors and pilgrims , where they can ascolare the Pope and receive the Apostolic Blessing. At each hearing, the Holy Father greeted the pilgrims present in the language , he blesses all present and any religious objects that people carry with them , such as rosaries and holy pictures .
For couples married in the Catholic Church over the past two months, is dedicated to a special area closest to the Holy Father , to be able to sit in this section, a written request of their priest , with the names of the bride and groom , the wedding date and the name of the church where the marriage was celebrated .
Whether to enter in the Paul VI Hall at the Vatican in St. Peter’s Square must undergo security audit , which takes a long time, so it is advisable to arrive about 2 hours and 30 minutes before the start of the hearing , to secure a seat (6000 seats in the Paul VI) . Tickets can be picked up at the school office inside the Bronze Door ( right colonnade of St. Peter’s Square ) , from 15.00 to 19.30 on the day before or the morning of the audience from 8.00 to 10.30 .
