Cavareno and the high Val di Non in Trentino

Cavareno is a mountain resort of Alta Val di Non in Trentino in provice of  Trento, at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level , close to Monte Roen . A municipality with more than a thousand inhabitants between the meadows and woods of the Val di Non renown known for its apple orchards and thick forests and ancient castles .

The country of Cavareno, during the summer offers the following sports equipment available to its citizens and tourists tennis courts, soccer field with ice rink, bocce courts, bike paths and walking trails in the countryside.

A Cavareno in between the months of July and August (from July 28 to August 3, 2014) held the “Festival of the Charter Rule” re-enactment of the ancient municipal regulations, which brings the country to turn into a medieval town, where the streets and the square magically return to folk artisans, peasants, commoners and nobles. During the event gastronomic events with local products, concerts, antiques market, music and fun.

For lovers of art and history around Cavareno you can visit castles, stately homes and ancient frescoed churches of all ages. Sono tante anche le occasioni di provare esperienze alternative, come le escursioni sulla slitta trainate da cavalli e le ciaspolade, attività molto praticata in Val di Non. Si può pattinare sul ghiaccio del lago Smeraldo o al Palaghiaccio di Fondo. Lo sci nordico si pratica soprattutto al Centro fondo delle Regole di Malosco, a Sarnonico, proseguendo sulla statale che porta al Passo della Mendola, dove le piste si snodano attraverso boschi e radure su 10 km di anelli ad un’altitudine media di 1350 metri, e sulla Predaia. Meta per le famiglie sono il Predaia Park e il Funny Park Nevelandia al Roen (Passo della Mendola), dove imparare a sciare divertendosi in un villaggio da fiaba, con piste per lo slittino e il tubing.
